You find all settings of a dashboard on one page: three-dot menu at the top right → Bearbeiten. Only the owner can see this page.
At the top you change Name, Beschreibung and Layout (Zeilen or Spalten). Then click Speichern.
In the Diagramme section, each chart is its own row.
Drag a row by the handle up or down to change the order.
Set Breite and Höhe for each chart right in the list.
Click Layout speichern.
With Bearbeiten in a row you go straight to the chart's editor.
In the Filter section you decide which filters viewers can change themselves at the top of the dashboard. The section appears as soon as the dashboard has at least one chart.
For each filter you set:
Setting | Meaning |
|---|---|
Field | The field to filter by, e.g. branch or date. You can choose from the fields in the Explores of your charts. |
Title | The heading in the filter bar. Leave it empty and the name of the field is shown there. |
Default value | The value when the dashboard opens, e.g. |
Show under more filters | The filter is collapsed behind |
A filter applies to every chart whose Explore has this field. To remove one, tick Diesen Filter entfernen and save.
How the filter bar works for viewers is explained in the article Filtering in dashboards.
New dashboards are private. For colleagues to see them, you share them with one or more groups of your brand.
Three-dot menu → Teilen
Choose the groups that should see the dashboard.
Save.
Good to know:
You always share with groups, not with individual people.
The groups can view the dashboard, download it and send it to themselves as a report. Only the owner can change it.
Groups that are not allowed to open the Explore are marked "Kein Zugriff auf dieses Topic". They only see the dashboard once they have access to the Explore.
You only see the Teilen entry if your group is allowed to share dashboards. sell & pick grants this permission. Contact [email protected] if you need it.
At the very bottom of the edit page you find Dashboard löschen. After you confirm, the dashboard disappears with all its charts, also for the groups it was shared with. Reports for this dashboard are deleted as well.
Can I copy a dashboard?
There is no copy function yet. The fastest way is with Smarta: "Build me a dashboard like 'Wochenübersicht', but only for the Köln branch."
Can I hand a dashboard over to someone else?
No, the owner stays the person who created the dashboard.
When I save, I get a message that someone changed the dashboard.
Someone else (e.g. Smarta in a second window) saved the dashboard in the meantime. Reload the page, check the current state and save again.
